Dr. Tarabein has been in practice in south/central Alabama since 1996. His services include all types of neurological care and pain management, adults and children:

      U.S. citizen.

      Born in the Middle East, June 18, 1959.

      1984 Earned M.D. diploma from the University of Damascus, with honors and awards.

      1984-1986 Served in the Army as an officer physician.

      1986-1988 Residency training in Neurosurgery and neuro-critical care at the "Universite' De Nancy"

      in France.

      1988-1992 Advanced training/teacher in Sleep Medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

      1992-1993 Residency training in Medicine, at St. Louis University in Saint Louis,MO.

      1993-1994 Residency training in Neurology, at St. Louis University in St. Louis, MO.

      1994-1996 Residency training in Neurology, at the University of South Alabama.

      1996-present: Founder and medical director of
      "Eastern Shore Neurology & Pain Center, Inc." in Baldwin County, south Alabama.


      Dr. Tarabein has performed numerous national & international presentations and research/publications; advanced medical training in Neurovascular Doppler/Ultrasound, Electromyography, and invasive pain management at Bowman Gray, NC; Atlanta, GA; Houston, TX; Oxford; U.K. and others.

      He also has been awarded the "National Leadership Award" and the "Business Man of the Year" for 2 years (2001and 2002) in the state of Alabama" both by the US congress.

      2007 - Dr. Tarabein and his practice was featured on the cover  and was honored with a cover story with MD News, a state-wide physician magazine,  with 8 pages devoted to his practice. See this feature here. 

      Dr. Tarabein has been invited to numerous national and international medical conventions to speak to physicians about his expertise.
