What is an EEG (Electro-encephalo-gram)
It is a brain waves study; a machine will record electricity that your brain nor-mally produces. Electrodes will be pasted with oily gel on your scalp, the gel is water-soluble (washable).
Is it painful?
Not at all, it is virtually painless.
What should I do before I come for the test?
Please shampoo your hair; do not use any hair conditioning lotion or any oily/petroleum products
How long the test is?
About 30-45 minutes.
Evoked Potentials Are a set of studies that examines the sensory pathways and its connection with the brain. Called SEP study
What is SEP study?
It is an electric study that tests your sensory pathway, from the skin all the way up to the brain. If you have a pace maker or any electrical implant, please inform our staff immediately.
Is it painful?
No; yet, some may find it little uncomfortable, as you’ll ex-perience mighty twitches when the nerves get stimulated by tiny electric impulses.
What should I do before I come for the test?
First, make sure to get enough rest the night before. Dress comfortable so that you won’t have to undress and wear a gown (shorts and a T-shirt would be ideal).
PLEASE DO NOT PUT ON ANY OIL OR PETROLIUM PRODUCT / LOTION, as it will make the test uncom-fortable. The test usually lasts for about 30-60 minutes.
VEP Study
What is VEP study?
It is a visual study, which examines the visual pathway, from your eyes all the way to the brain. It is not painful, a goggle will be placed on your eyes, which will blink with red light, these impulses will be recorded from your brain. The test usually lasts for about 30 minutes.
AEP study
It is an auditory (hearing) test, which examines the auditory
(hearing) pathway, from your ears all the way to the brain.
It is not painful, a headset will be placed on your ears that produce click sounds, and your ears will convert these clicks to electrical signals that will be recorded from your brain. The test usually lasts for 30 minutes.
EMG/NCS

It is a nerve test “Electro-myography
& Nerve Conduction Study”
You’ll be wired up to a machine (with sticky-head electrodes); then, mighty electric stimulations will be delivered to a few nerves of yours. A fine
needle will be inserted in a few sites
to record electrical impulses that are normally produced by your muscles and nerves.
Is it painful?
Not really; yet, some may find it little uncomfortable.
How long the test is?
About 20-45 minutes.
What should I do before I come for the test?
First, make sure to get enough rest the night before. Dress comfortable, shorts and a T-shirt would be ideal (so that you won’t have to undress and
put on a gown).
DO NOT PUT ANY OILY OR PETROLIUM PRODUCT/LOTION ON, as it may make the test a bit more uncomfortable.
You should not undergo this test if..
you have any electronic implants (like a pace maker, automated defibrillator, and so on), in such a case, please inform the Dr or his staff immediately.
The Doctor will discuss the result your test during your follow-up visit after the test.
What is Spinal Block?
It is minimally invasive in-office spinal surgical procedures, usually provides significant pain relief.
It involves injecting a mixed Steroid with local anesthetic in the pain-producing spinal structure, typically under the guidance of Fleuroscopy.
