  • 1984 Earned M.D. diploma from the University of Damascus, with honors and awards.

  • 1984-1986 Served in the Army as a Lieutenant physician.

  • 1986-1988 Residency training in Neurosurgery and neuro-critical care at the "Universite' De Nancy" in France.

  • 1988-1992 Advanced training/teacher in Sleep Medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

  • 1992-1993 Residency training in Medicine, at St. Louis University in Saint Louis,MO.

  • 1993-1994 Residency training in Neurology, at St. Louis University in St. Louis, MO.

  • 1994-1996 Residency training in Neurology, at the University of South Alabama.

  • 1996; established and directed "Eastern Shore Neurology & Pain Center, Inc." in Baldwin County, south Alabama; the fastest growing neurology and pain center in the entire area.

Dr. Tarabein was elected to present numerous national & international lectures, seminars and conventions to speak to other physicians about his expertise. with 2 research he conducted and published; he pursued advanced medical and neurological training in Neurovascular Doppler/Ultrasound, Electromyography, VNG and invasive pain management at Bowman Gray, NC; Atlanta, GA; Houston, TX; Oxford; U.K. and others.

He also has been awarded the "National Leadership Award" and the "Business Man of the Year" for 2 years in a row (2001and 2002) in the state of Alabama" by the US congress.

In 2007; Dr. Tarabein and his practice was featured on the cover page, and was honored with 8 pages cover story on MD News, a state-wide physician magazine, cover story was devoted to his practice. Read about that at "Our News" tab at this site.
